The number of businesses in Scotland has reached its highest point since records began.

The official figures show there were 366,000 private businesses in Scotland at the end of last year. A figure that’s increased by more than half when compared to the year 2000.

What’s even more special is that 98 percent of those organisations are small businesses with less than 50 employees. Businesses like these are the backbone of any economy, in Scotland, they account for 42.6 percent of private sector employment.

Join the #BWSBusinessRoadshow a one day event of business conversation, making new connections and to spend some time investing in yourself, your business and your career.

“Just wanted to thank you for another great BWS event at the Norwood Hotel in Aberdeen. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it is great to meet with other inspiring and hard working women and gents who are running their own ventures and making a difference. I love the magazine and what you have created with BWS, I always get inspiration from it, so thank you for all that you’ve done to bring it to life. “
