Be Inspired

Amanda Hamilton, Nutritionist

As a nutritionist, health activist and communicator, my personal mission statement is to help bring health to life – not just for a privileged few, but for as many people as possible. In 2017 this has meant the launch of my online coaching plan that supports my best-selling G Plan Diet book. It is a hugely exciting way to connect and help as many people as possible to achieve gut-healthy weight loss.

I truly believe health is wealth and that good nutrition is always worth the extra time, attention and investment. However, as a busy working mother and as someone who likes to enjoy the finer things in life (wine, chocolate, home-made gingerbread…), I promise always to keep it real and realistic.

Amanda will talk about the importance of nutrition for the working woman.

Justine Mitchell, Chamomile Sanctuary

Justine Mitchell has two very different business interests – football and beauty! In football, she’s a co-owner of Dundee United FC, set up and Chairs the Dundee United Women’s Football Club, is Joint Chair of the Scottish Women’s Football Board and also a Trustee of the Charity, United for all.  In 2010 she started her own spa, Chamomile Sanctuary in Edinburgh, with a vision to bring the standards of a luxurious countryside spa to the heart of the city.

Justine lost her father and her husband within days of each other, but has gone on to make a successful life for herself and her son.  We were so inspired by her story, we picked Justine as our BWS Inspirational Woman of the Year 2016.

Justine will talk to Rachel McTavish about how she got involved with these two industries, life as a female in the world of football, the business lessons learned from both her roles, and how she managed to survive through tragedy.
